About our Homeschool

IQS Learning runs the Southern Right home school, and we loosely model our schooling on the Charlotte Mason philosophies.

We believe in daily work on the habits of

1. regular diligent effort (work can be its own reward)
2. paying careful attention (good input makes for good output)
3. faithful observation (even though we are not all artists, we keep and illustrate our Nature Journals).

We are fortunate to have Internet at our fingertips, and we USE it in our research for project work. We respect our environment and are (very!) proudly South African. This year, we are concentrating on South African history and honing our Maths skills, and preparing for Secondary school.

We love homeschooling in winter - sometimes class is in a nice warm bed...

Our fun is had in music and horse riding and in the marvellous, huge world of good stories!
